Tom Waits previews his upcoming album! Also has a go at internet music pirates, in a good way. It’s called ‘Bad As Me’, and is apparently “his first studio album of all new music in seven years”. I am excited.
Ce Jeu, by Yelle
This is the song from the Rage Guy video I posted earlier (“FFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUU” on 15 June), I looked it up because it is catchy. It goes a bit weird around 2:40, but not for long.
If you find that you like the sort of positive-energy French pop that this seems to be, I’d recommend looking up the Yelle page on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/artist/Yelle
Jeremy Clarkson Beatbox, by Swede Mason. I can thoroughly recommend all of Swede Mason’s videos in fact!
Duelling Cellists play “Smooth Criminal”
Brought to me by College Humor.
Each one of these guys is too cool for me.
Ghost Inside, by the Broken Bells.
The music isn’t completely what I would normally look for, but with spaceships, alien planets, an android, and Christina Hendricks I’m sure there are a lot of people who will like this.
Starting with a few one-second soundbites I recorded from Futurama (which is excellent, by the way), and ending with… let me see now… something called ‘Crimson’ by someone called ‘Edge of Sanity’. I’m quite sure that I don’t know what that is, but it weighs in at an impressive forty minutes and one second.
Ah. Thinking about it, it’s most likely some of the black metal I once borrowed from a friend to see what it was like. I didn’t form a lasting attachment.
At the time of writing, I’m listening to tracks at the 1:45 mark.
Mr B, the Gentleman Rhymer - Straight Outta Surrey. This… is similar to the work of MC Elemental that I have posted below, but, I feel, isn’t quite up to the same level. Still, good for a laugh.
Flight of the Conchords - Sugar Lumps. FotC are a real weakness of mine, it will be difficult for me not to simply post every single thing from there here.
